Now in 2022, we're immensely proud to have made it a hat-trick. Apex Digital and Apex Power have been awarded Products of the Year for 2022! Both cables were reviewed earlier this year and were awarded 115 points each. This puts them ahead of every other cable tested and is testament to the Apex design philosophy. Following reviews of Apex interonnect, speaker and digital lines, Editor Fernando Andrette turned his attention to our Apex Power cable to hear the full Apex loom and hear what he endearingly termed "The Apex effect" to its fullest effect. Whilst Apex excels at the usual metrics (soundstaging, resolution, timing etc), it was the concept of 'neutrality' that Fernando started to become increasingly fascinated with in our cables. His review of Apex Digital last month cemented these views, and in Issue 291, Fernando has found our Apex Power cable to reinforce these conclusions (translated):

"In 30 years as a critical audio reviewer, I've never heard and tested cables that so vehemently sought to sound neutral as these Dynamique cables. And my admiration only multiplied as I realized that, in Dynamique's most sophisticated cables, the search for neutrality became an example to be followed – if other cable manufacturers ever want to tread this new and so fruitful road."

"I doubt if others will, because this degree of neutrality found in the Zenith 2 and Apex line, are incompatible with a large portion of electronics. And, of course, with a huge legion of audiophiles who are still looking for a 'oiled' sound!"

In December 2019, Editor Fernando Andrette reviewed our Apex interconnects and was truly impressed. Becoming the highest scoring interconnects yet tested and Product of the Year 2019, Fernando was most interested in the neutrality of the Apex line (often a nebulous concept in audio reviewing), his views were further reinforced after reviewing our Apex speaker cables (Product of the Year 2020). Whilst big bass or dry, clinical treble are relatively easy for a competent cable designer to 'engineer' into a cable, a harmonically complete, tonally neutral one is not. In his review of our Apex Digital cable, this is what Fernando found (translated):

"...neutrality brings the most fundamental component: the possibility of full and correct distinction between multiple recordings to a level never before presented."

"...and Dynamique Audio's Apex line of cables is the only one I've heard so far that, when installed in a system that also has that same sonic 'DNA', allows for a degree of neutrality that we haven't experienced before."

"Dynamique's AES/EBU Apex is exceptional for what it doesn't introduce, and what it doesn't do or put on the signal. And this is an element that has two very distinct sides in the composition of a high-performance audio system. For those looking to 'oil' their systems by making the sound more 'seasoned' and with a personal touch, it will never be a desirable option. Now, for those who claim to take the high-fidelity conception to its extreme of possibility, there is no other more interesting and consistent option up to this moment that combines: musicality, naturalness and correctness in this degree of refinement!"

With recommended gongs and awards for our Horizon 2 and Shadow 2 ranges in 2019 and 2020, Editor Daniel Brezina turned his attention to our flagship Halo 2 headphone cable. Once again, our cable deeply impressed Daniel on both its technical merits and sonic abilities, taking his Focal Clear headphones to new heights:

"Halo 2 emphasizes the analytical side of reproduction, every tiny detail in the midrange is as if carved in stone. Focal Clear sounded the most transparent and clear, as well as analytical we've ever heard with Halo 2 – and it's not the detail and clarity vulgar or technical, it's just very energetic and very clear."

In December 2020, Editor Fernando Andrette turned his attention to our Zenith 2 USB cable. Connected to an Innuos, Nagra and Wilson Audio system, he was once again deeply impressed by what he heard - in his own words (translated):

"Visually, its construction is exquisite and in this regard it really stands out from the other eight USB cables that arrived for evaluation, or that I borrowed from friends."

"The Zenith 2 stands out prominently from the crowd, so explicitly that the feeling about the other cables is that the others are literally lacking in information. I'm not talking about differences in tonal balance, but about information about both micro and macrodynamics, intentionality in the presentation of textures and especially in the 3D presentation of width, depth and height."

"Of course, for simpler streamers, the use of a USB of this magnitude will not make sense, but in State of the Art systems, where the best USB cable available on the market is sought, the Zenith 2 should be among the mandatory listens."

Following on from their recent (excellent) review of our Halo 2 Bi-Wire jumpers, Audio Art magazine Taiwan this time turned their attention to our reference-class Zenith 2 speaker cables - and they were once again very impressed. They concluded that the neutrality of the cable was an excellent way to improve system performance without affecting tonal balance. Hot on the heels of their glowing review of our Horizon 2 power cable in their Sep 20 issue, Super AV magazine China revists the Horizon 2 range and this time explores our single-ended and balanced interconnects in their Dec 20 edition. We're delighted once more to have received an excellent review of our affordable Horizon 2 interconnects, and look forward to publishing the full article(and English translation) very shortly

Canadian journal NOVO has completed a comparative review of all three of our digital SP-DIF type digital cables. Writer Jan-Erik Nordoen compares our Horizon 2 digital, Shadow 2 digital & Zenith 2 digital cables and heaps praise on all three, in particular Shadow 2 and Zenith 2:

"All three of Dynamique’s digital cables excelled in getting music’s fundamentals right: timing and dynamics. Clarity and musical insight increase as one moves up the range, with the biggest jump being from the Horizon 2 to the Shadow 2. The Shadow 2 and Zenith 2 performed closely in my system. Whilst I could live with either, I found the extra level of musical insight provided by the Zenith 2 simply addictive. To my ears, the Shadow 2 offers around 80% of the Zenith’s musical insight while being more forgiving on lesser recordings. It can at times seem a little warmer than the Zenith 2 and may be a better match for a system tuned towards the bright. Digital cables can truly make a difference in getting you deeper into your music. Dynamique Audio’s are some of the finest examples I’ve come across.”

We're delighted to have received an excellent review of our affordable Horizon 2 power cable in the September edition of Super AV magazine - one of the most respected audio journals in the Far East. We will have the full article and English translation soon.

Following on from a superb review of our Halo 2 range (100 points - 'State of the Art') in issue 257 and subsequent Product of the Year 2019 accolade, and then a truly superlative score of 106 points for our flagship Apex interconnects in issue 258 (Product of the Year 2019, Reference Seal), editor Fernando Andrette turned his attention to our Zenith 2 balanced XLR interconnects. Readers were curious if Zenith 2 was like Apex, or a more refined Halo 2? Fernando found them to be closer to Apex with some many truly reference-class attributes, in particular speed, accuracy and timing. Respected high-end Chinese audio journal AUDIOTECHNIQUE has given a glowing review of our Zenith interconnects and Summit power cables. We will be uploading the review to our website shortly in both original Chinese language format, and translated English.

Superbly written, the review describes the cables in detail, commenting on a three-dimensional soundstage with excellent depth and width, fine detailing, excellent low-frequency control and natural full sound. Overall they considered the performance outstanding and highly recommended the cables for their relatively modest price compared to some of our competition.

Following a glowing review of our Tempest interconnects in issue 346, Hifi Choice awarded them 'Finalist 2011' in their 2011 awards.

Hifi Plus editor Alan Sircom reviewed our Maya interconnects, Halo speaker cables and Summit power cable in issue 80 and was impressed: 

"There is a common sound to the Dynamique Audio range. Every cable brought out deep and powerful bass, with a broadly neutral midrange, a silken sheen to the upper mids and fine soundstaging" He continued... "It's also very well extended, although not to the point of exaggeration and, as you might expect, a dynamic sound too."

"As a newcomer, this is a brilliant rollout of quality products from the get-go. There are brands that have been making cables for years that don't have this kind of consistency and neutral midrange."

Tempest interconnects and Cyclone speaker cables received a glowing review in the June 2011 edition of Hi-fi Choice:

"We didn't find much evidence of real character for either cable; they are both rather characterless: that is, they don't impose themselves on the music. Unless you are of the mindset that likes to regard cables as tuning devices, that's very much a point in their favour; neutrality being a hi-fi Holy Grail."

"They are near-faultlessly neutral in the midband...both cables present precise and stable images, with very good depth definition, which is often a particular weakness of cables."

"With the brand's name in mind, we were delighted to hear excellent dynamics on offer: swinging from loud to soft effortlessly without compression or exaggeration."
