Q) How do Dynamique cables sound?

A) Whilst the aim for audio cables is to subtract as little as possible from the audio signal, this will always remain technically impossible and so all audio cables have a definite 'sound' through both their construction method and subsequent component interaction. Dynamique cables are neutrally balanced and very dynamic sounding. It's these qualities above others that we feel differentiate live music from reproduced. Many cable brands engineer in specific tonal imbalances: excessive bass, or a wide open treble, that can be attractive in the short-term but proves wearing in the longer-term, leading to an endless cable upgrade path - great for manufacturers of course but not for the user! We've not engineered in any particular quality and both customer and professional review comments bear out this approach.

Q) What is your returns policy?

A) We offer a 30 day refund policy. We require all included components (i.e. cables and packaging) to be returned in the exact same brand new condition you received them in. A 20% handling fee applies if the cables are not faulty or not as described. The reason for this is due to the labour involved in building a Dynamique cable. Most cables in the industry are either OEM produced (usually purchased in large quantities from a select few suppliers based the Far East) or stock cables adapted to audiophile usage with some design tweaks. Whilst many dishonestly proclaim that there cables are assembled or designed in house, this usually means terminating connectors to a largely finished cable - a very quick process/ There are very few manufacturers like us who build the vast majority of their cables from the ground up. Whilst this time-consuming and bespoke approach ensures absolute quality control, as well as the ability to update and improve cable designs as and when we can, it does mean the heavy labour involved precludes a free trial period. Note that in the regions where we have distribution in place, our distributors will normally be able to offer home trials.

Q) What kind of warranty do you provide?

A) We offer a 5 year warranty on all of our cables against failure due to defect of manufacture (see terms and conditions for more detail), applicable only to the original owner when purchased directly from us. Just return the cables to us and we will, at our option, either repair or replace it and return it to you absolutely free of charge.

Q) Why don't you offer bi-wire cables?

A) Our research leads us to believe that the gains made from bi-wiring are mostly through eliminating stock brass jumper links - these have poor conductivity and impede the sound of your speakers. Bi-wiring may eliminate the use of these links, and can be beneficial in reducing resistance through increased conductor gauge, but it can also have undesirable effects too - reports of a skewed tonal balance and 'sameness' to the sound even with different music. We've found that bi-wire cable designs are often compromised in quality, either from inconsistent conductor types or gauges, or internal bi-wire configurations that essentially split the single wire version in two, halving conductor gauge, and increasing resistance. Our jumper speaker cables maintain excellent sound quality and are a far more cost effective and discrete solution.

Q) Why don't you sell power cables with plug terminations for my region?

A) Whilst our primary choices of US, Euro and UK style plug terminations serve a large core of our audience, and we will continue to introduce choices for other regions on an ongoing basis.

Q) Can you custom build cables?

A) We are happy to accept any proposal for a custom cable, but it depends largely on the specifics, and how compatible such a design would be with our own.
